They're then simply either taken whole or roughly chopped up to be planted alongside the seeds they're meant to fertilize. But that's largely a matter of simple convenience for the farmers, and a way for Fishers to make some small profit on otherwise unwanted stock before it spoils; there's no need for it to be whole fish, so far as I'm aware."
