The Show Must Go On - Arrival
Open/locked?: Open
Who: Morgana McCawber & You?
What: The self-called Queen of Rock has arrived, and she's got a few things to say... or sing.
Warnings: N/A, will update if needed.
Sweet dreams are made of these, who was she to disagree? Here Morgana had been hoping to wake up in her coffin after that odd sequence of shared memories, embarrassing falls, annoying heroes, and an epic jam session. Yet here she was, among trash and gloom, and she didn't take to a genius to figure out where she was. Thanks to Mal's descriptions, Morgana was already ahead of most people who arrived here... but that didn't make her any happier.
But, hey, at least she wasn't chained up anymore - nor was she alone. She stuck a hand in her hair, jostling out her familiars - two bats and a spider. "Eek, Squeak, recon mode. See what you can find, but don't go too far." The bats chittered in agreement before fluttering off. "Archie, you stay with me, and keep all eight eyes open." After a loving pat to his head, Archie crawled onto her shoulder, and the two walked on to discover what new adventure they'd been forced into.
Another blessing was that she'd still kept her guitar. She swung it over to her front, and began to strum a few bars... music was her outlet for anything and everything, so she might as well use it to start venting.
No spotlight? No grand entrance? Not even a working phone? This was NOT how you treated a rock star! (And the fact that she wasn't famous enough to be considered one was irrelevant, dang it.)
"Empty spaces, what are we living for?
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score, on and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for?
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore?"

He looked back to her, frowning a little. "The other ones, that I was certain of sensing correctly... were not ones I'd known before. And one in particular who was not who he appeared to be... was someone I had seen while asleep, before. I could feel him easily then." For all that his eyes should've been harder to read, they sort of weren't. Even in the dim overcast from their poor weather, those looked to be hints of tears. He turned his gaze back to the ground in front of them, holding his breath for just a beat, trying to dismiss any displays of... well, anything, it seemed. Quieter, "He was absolutely, radiantly joyful. ...But there, at one of the places I went... there was nothing. He seemed to present, but he wasn't there."
A sigh, trying to lean on his frustration at it all, "The silence has been deafening."

She rubbed her arms, trying to think of something, anything to say at all. "Never been a fan of silence myself." She finally decided. "And even for someone like myself everything that happened and everything that's going on now gives me the creeps."

"...What else has happened, for you? And now?"
Wild hair, black and white and red. There was a sort of consistency to it... art? It was an art thing, wasn't it? Interesting....

"I managed to visit three important locations in my dream. The first was where I grew up, the second was the city I'm currently staying at, and the third... is the stage. No matter where I go, I'm always looking for a place to play."

Granted, she doubted she'd get a decent night's sleep without a coffin, but he didn't need to know that.

A slight pause. "I would be more confused how I ended up in a dream in the first place, if it wasn't said to be someone else's doing. ....Do you dream?" He looked back to her again, wanting to hear whatever answer she might give to that.

Ah well. No reason to lie about something so simple. "I prefer not to, but I don't exactly have a choice about it. Kind of in the very nature of dreams themselves to be chaotic and follow their own rules."

"Yes, until we learn otherwise, we have to play it nice, safe, and totally boring."

Three guesses what word he was previously unfamiliar with. Go ahead; he has all day.

A little pause. "Is it strange to say I think I now want to see one?"
