The Show Must Go On - Arrival
Open/locked?: Open
Who: Morgana McCawber & You?
What: The self-called Queen of Rock has arrived, and she's got a few things to say... or sing.
Warnings: N/A, will update if needed.
Sweet dreams are made of these, who was she to disagree? Here Morgana had been hoping to wake up in her coffin after that odd sequence of shared memories, embarrassing falls, annoying heroes, and an epic jam session. Yet here she was, among trash and gloom, and she didn't take to a genius to figure out where she was. Thanks to Mal's descriptions, Morgana was already ahead of most people who arrived here... but that didn't make her any happier.
But, hey, at least she wasn't chained up anymore - nor was she alone. She stuck a hand in her hair, jostling out her familiars - two bats and a spider. "Eek, Squeak, recon mode. See what you can find, but don't go too far." The bats chittered in agreement before fluttering off. "Archie, you stay with me, and keep all eight eyes open." After a loving pat to his head, Archie crawled onto her shoulder, and the two walked on to discover what new adventure they'd been forced into.
Another blessing was that she'd still kept her guitar. She swung it over to her front, and began to strum a few bars... music was her outlet for anything and everything, so she might as well use it to start venting.
No spotlight? No grand entrance? Not even a working phone? This was NOT how you treated a rock star! (And the fact that she wasn't famous enough to be considered one was irrelevant, dang it.)
"Empty spaces, what are we living for?
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score, on and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for?
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore?"

"We are on an island called the Isle of the Lost, which serves as a prison of sorts under the control of a Kingdom on the mainland known as Auradon," he said. "Here they confined any deemed too villainous, destructive, or generally criminal for their liking and surrounded the Isle with a barrier that prevents any use of magic within it. A prudent measure, I grant them, as many of those confined here were powerful mages, though it makes life no easier for us here and now."
"Steps were being taken to integrate the children of the Isle- as well as others whose imprisonment was found to be unjust or who were willing to swear to follow Auradon's laws and demonstrate such by their actions-, but a magical mishap caused nearly the entire population both of the Isle and Auradon to vanish to parts unknown. It's due to two attempts to correct said mishap clashing with each other that you, I, and a small number of others are here. Instead of returning the residents of this world to their rightful place, the magic instead reached out to many other worlds, plucking people out seemingly at random."
"There are a few residents of this world on the Isle with us however. Of them, Yen Sid is the only one in whom I would place any trust; unlike the others, he's a scholar of great renown who came here by choice to make sure the Isle's children did not want for education. The old virago, scrawny astrologian, and vain wench, however, more than earned their places here. I avoid them when possible, rather than put up with their attempts to enforce their own sort of 'education' on me."

"I don't plan on being a student myself either." She replied once his tale was finished. "I've made my life plans long ago and I've got no intention of changing them. Still, I suppose I appreciate the heads-up about who to watch out for... though if they intend on giving me any trouble, I promise you I always go down fighting."
She may no longer have her magic, but that didn't mean she'd lost the ability to be dangerous. "The name's Morgana. Morgana McCawber."

At her introduction, he gave a polite nod. "Foulques of the Mist," he said. "Tis good to meet another sane adult in this place, if naught else."
(OOC: Little note about Foulques' name; it's never spoken in a voiced cutscene, but Elezen tend to have French-sounding names. So his name is pronounced more like 'Full-QWAH- than 'FOWL-qwess', as ironic as the latter would be for both a baddie and to someone from Disney Ducks world. X3)

"So, we can fight, and we refuse to learn. Where do we crash for the night? It doesn't look like this place has anything good in terms of entertainment or spots to hang out, so I might as well stake my territory so I can practice properly."
[ ooc: noted! and lulz. ]

"The school is the only somewhat viable shelter hereabouts, but it isn't made for those of Elezen height," he said. "Thus I spend much of my time outdoors, circumstances permitting. You may wish to take out one of the unused classrooms for your own as a place to sleep at the very least, however."
"As for a place to play, I might ordinarily suggest the rooftop, but given the state of the building I fear that would be a poor choice. You may have better luck finding a place with suitable acoustics somewhere outdoors, like the beach. And your playing would doubtless ease the monotony of a day's fishing as well."

... That was a rhetorical question, mind you.
"My type of music isn't really for the 'relaxing, easing' crowd. My lifestyle is out loud and in your face. But I'll admit I do enjoy the taste of danger... so I'll give the rooftop a try, if only to keep myself awake in this dull place."

"Though judging by the admittedly little I've seen of you thusfar, I suspect that your music will be a welcome addition to the days here, wherever you choose to play it. And the nights as well, so long as you take care not to wake those who are attempting to sleep." After all, no matter how good the musician was, few people appreciated being woken up at 3 AM by their playing.
