A Stinking Mess

Finally the snow has turned to just frozen mud, and little enough that people can start spending more time outside. There is slush constantly falling off the roofs meaning that anytime anyone walked in or out they would get a heavy wet lump of ice and slush down the back of their neck. For those coming in, it all but guaranteed that whoever came in they would be trailing mess.

There were some other effects of being able to get out, however. One is that the shore is accessible again. Fish will be slim pickings because of how cold the water is, but at least there was a chance. And patience would be rewarded. A little, anyway.

Another effect is an unpleasant realization. Just how badly the school smelled with so many of them spending most if their time inside, for so long.

So now they can all get out if they don't mind bing a little chilly, which is probably preferable to the stink of the school and the slushy mess of the floors in the school.

Of course the ground outside was even slushier and messier, but at least it was outside.

A Stinking Annoyance

After so much forced togetherness, things that had been mildly annoying were seeming more annoying, and it was easier to see others as irritating. Characters might find themselves less able to hold their tongues about things they dislike about others. Fights will start more easily, be they arguments or physical altercations. Tempers will be on edge all week. Characters will be irritable even when alone and liable to go off at the slightest provocation.

As each person snaps or yells or attacks... any negative interaction at all... and the person skin will start to turn dark green. starting from their nails. The colour would work its way up the hands, then arms, then shoulders, from there up and down as well. Maleficent green. If anyone became fully green the next wave would be purple. Then black. Then green again with black and purple fully body freckles that would grow more numerous as they remain harsh.

The colour would last at its peak week after the other effects faded, and then over the next week so too the pigment.
