But at least it can't get any worse, right?
CRACK! The crash of the thunder was so loud that it could be heard no matter where on the Island someone might be. And it shook the ground.
It was the only warning they were given, for a moment later the constantly dark clouds opened up and poured out what felt like it had to be a year's worth of rain. The rain was bitterly cold and there were hail stones mixed in.
This would be a good time to go inside, except inside was quickly becoming not better as the school started to flood. For those out by the sea, the rain isn't quite as bad there except... the fish are all stirred up from it. And not just the fish... Warning, incoming crocodile! And he seems to be able to see in the rain better than most anyone else can!
The rain will keep falling for long enough that there seemed little hope it would ever stop. It would, eventually, but not until the first floor of the school and all stairs down were thoroughly flooded, and the whole place was starting to smell of mildew. And... was anyone brave enough to risk the slippery waterfall stairs to see how the basement was doing?
