It's due to two attempts to correct said mishap clashing with each other that you, I, and a small number of others are here. Instead of returning the residents of this world to their rightful place, the magic instead reached out to many other worlds, plucking people out seemingly at random."

Of them, Yen Sid is the only one in whom I would place any trust; unlike the others, he's a scholar of great renown who came here by choice to make sure the Isle's children did not want for education. The old virago, scrawny astrologian, and vain wench, however, more than earned their places here. I avoid them when possible, rather than put up with their attempts to enforce their own sort of 'education' on me."
