Every once in a while, the teachers remember that this is actually a school and they're supposed to be teaching. Some of them may have pointed out that there are so few of you that it is hardly worth their time, while others... Well, let's just say that you might be getting some... extra special attention....


(OOC: School logs will be officially active until the next mini event or school log that goes up after. You may tag into any header more than once, just put a day of the week or some other marker to indicate a new day. Or you can hand wave having gone to classes and just use these as an idea for what was taught in this span of time. Most months will have either one or two school logs, depending on the event and mini event schedule.)

The Headmaster's office

Doctor Facilier has taken to leaving his office door open. Invitation or threat? You decide. But he has been keeping an eye on things. And sometimes he is even spotted hanging out in the doorframe, watching people scurrying past.

Someone was not at all about to admit it if he was actually bored. Not a chance. And if you got that impression, well that's your problem, not his, isn't it?

Lady Tremaine

Lady Tremaine was very much giving any student who had the misfortune of crossing her threshold special attention. For those who have had that dubious honor... well... sorry.

As for those who do not cross her threshold a second time? She knows you now. She knows you are here. And she will find you. And you will regret it....

It was unfortunate, but Conan had reluctantly added this class to the list of ones he actually attended. Lady Tremaine seemed to be one of the few so-called teachers here who actually cared to take attendance.

Well, at least it was something to break up the monotony.

"What are we working on today, Lady Tremaine?"

"Today we are going to examine in detail something you disdain. You need to Think now, and explain to me all the ways it would be to your personal advantage... to be a thief." Her smile was far from pleasant.

He doesn't see any point in concealing his annoyance at the assignment, although he still bites back a comment concerning her definition of theft versus the legal definition.

"Very well," he says irritably. "First, it would give me access to materials and information otherwise out of reach."

"Explain how that would help you."

It would help me if this was the only way to obtain important information. Or it could save time by going directly for the source rather than taking the time to obtain it through more round about and legal methods.

"So how often have you done this?"

Mother Gothel

Has she actually noticed that you are there? That any time has passed since you were there last? Hard to tell, sometimes. But at least the chances were low that another teacher would drag you put if you were actually in class, so Mother Gothel's Selfies class might seem a safe place to hide. Maybe? Your milage may vary....

Professor Yen Sid

Yen Sid had his lab set up, an impressive display of test tubes and beakers and bunsen burners sat upon his long counter like desk. It frankly looked like a Rube Goldberg level chem experiment was about to take place. And none of the chemicals were labeled in any way that would make sense to those who have not studied with him thus far. Well, that wasn't fully true. A few were labeled in such a way that made it clear that handling the contents could be dangerous. Mostly by a label that read "If you choose to destroy yourself, that is your choice". But the rest of the labels were odd personal symbols. Stars with various numbers of points. The moon in various phases, the sun with various rays in different directions. It was almost like another language, and a subtle one at that. But not one that you would have to learn alone.

"Ah yes, come in come in. We have much to cover and time as ever grows short, my young pupil."

If there was one thing Conan was completely unable to resist, especially when he was bored out of his mind, it was puzzles and riddles. The labeling system here was enough to catch his interest. Moon phases? He could think of dozens of different ways to turn that into a functioning code.

"What are we covering today?" Conan asks as he climbs up into a chair. The classrooms here had definitely not been designed with a student of his size in mind, but that was really only the start of everything that was wrong with the facilities here.

"There are a myriad of possibilities. But given the current situations I think that we should perhaps turn our gaze towards horticulture. Do you agree, young man?"

Considering the state of the food supply here as well as the barrier thorns, Conan had to agree. He had some plans in mind to address the water situation, but the other problems presented significantly larger challenges.

"I can agree with that."

"Very well. Now within horticulture what do you think our priority should be, were it left to you?"

Given the food situation, I would choose vegetables with a short growing period.

Outside of Class Mingle

Of course, not all time in school is spent in class, even in Dragon Hall. In fact with only three teachers- four, counting the headmaster- the semi-willing students would find themselves with a significant amount of time on their hands. What food there is isn't great, to say the least, but talking with someone else while eating may help distract from that. And forming a study group may help with the always dreaded homework.

Of course, with most of the rest of the area still blocked off, there's probably a lot of time spent hanging out in the school that has nothing to do with actual schoolwork, just for lack of options. Maybe a bit of exploring could lead to something more interesting? Or at least maybe something useful in one of the unintentionally abandoned lockers.

It hadn't taken Conan long to figure out which classes he actually needed to make an appearance at, and which ones were safe to ignore. Unfortunately this left him with a great deal of time on his hands. Normally Conan filled his time with complicated cases. But ironically this so-called island of villains was suspiciously free of crime. Conan couldn't even remember the last time he'd gone this long without stumbling across a murder or kidnapping case.

And he did not deal with boredom well.

Outside of class Conan can be found searching for anything that could keep his interest. He searched lockers, cataloged the trash outside, mapped out the school grounds and basically stuck in his nose in every place he was allowed and quite a few places he wasn't.

And he'd probably spot more than once a furtive shadow of a figure that kept trying to hide from him. But there were only so many places she could hide, and she wasn't used to hiding from a genius. IT probably wouldn't take him long to corner her, if he wanted to try.

There were only so many actual students here. Conan wasn't about to let one pass by without meeting her. Especially since she seemed so keen on avoiding him.

For the first few times he doesn't follow her, giving her the time to come forward on her own. When that doesn't happen he puts in the effort to appear in front of her.

"Hello!" he says brightly. "I don't think we've met."

She hunched her shoulders, wishing she could fade into the wall behind her. Why did Somebodies keep talking to her. She shook her head no, because they hadn't, and just... hoped he'd be satisfied with that and would leave her alone.

She didn't expect it, though. Somebodies rarely did.

Conan tilts his head. She seemed to be afraid of him. Which was interesting, because very few people could claim to be intimidated by him at his current height. He was all of three feet tall, after all.

"What's your name? I'm Conan Edogawa."

Among the lockers there were some that were locked. Most weren't all that different from the other lockers save for being locked. But there were a few that stood out.

In one locker bank there were a row of three lockers, all locked. They were less dented than the others, though that wasn't immediately obvious. Because they were covered in a tag that spread across all three of them. Nearbye there was another locked locker. This one was badly dented, but it also had a very specific tag.

Graffiti by someone who seemed - by style- to be the same person, was all over the school, of course. But these lockers were the only ones marked with this specific artist's marks. Added to them being among the few that were locked, and the fact that the three set had less damage than most other lockers... this might be a clue to... something.

Curious. Conan, as ever, took note of anything out of place. And both those lockers counted. He memorized the details of the tag and searched the area for other clues before investigating the locks. (Lockpicking was a skill that he did not usually advertise, but which often came in useful.)

He'd see the colours used on the larger tag are used in that combination in a lot of other tags around the school, and a simpler version of that symbol has ben carved into some of the desks here and there.

As for the locks... they are built into the lockers themselves, combo locks. In the case of the lockers under the bigger tag, they might have individual combo locks in that little circle anyway.

Conan considers the locks. This kind was usually simple enough to open.

He heads off to search for supplies. Something similar to a needle or paperclip should work.
