Once again the cart with the TV had been wheeled out. There was less in the way of rotten vegetation on hand that here had been for the King's speech - because most of it had been eaten - but not none. The teachers had let the students know that there would be something to watch, but not what. Just when. Attendance was in no way mandatory.

The teachers all showed up however, and the tension was heavy in the air as the broadcast started.

At one point, Lady Tremaine could be heard to mutter under her breath "One last chance to prove who you really are."

But then the feed cut. Whatever the new Queen had meant to say or do was not for the likes of those on the Isle.

Mother Gothel - OTA - Her classroom

"Oh, she was crowned queen? Is that all? I wouldn't be caught dead in that dress, hideous colour," Mother Gothel said before gliding off to her classroom, eyes locked on the selfie screen of her broken down cellphone.

Lady Tremaine - OTA - Her classroom

"I suppose it is too much to hope that she cut the cameras to turn into a dragon and eat them all," Lady Tremaine said, looking down her nose at the now dark screen. She sniffed once, and then turned and strode into her classroom.

Doctor Facilier - OTA - His office

The headmaster stayed in the hall, eyeing the screen with his arms crossed. His thoughts inscrutable. Finally he seemed to realize that he was no longer alone. "Don't you children have somewhere to be?" he asked before wheeling the TV card back towards his office.

"Er..."

It's no doubt after he's chased after Xion to tell her about the hide away in the auditorium- though who knows if she's going to bite that line- that he seeks out Doctor Facilier. There's a bit of a grimace- but fortunately at least, it's probably time for Gothel's class.

"...I'm pretty sure I'd actually be told to be more selfish about it, actually," he admits quite honestly.

Perhaps Facilier has been able to get a better picture of the boy, beyond 'somehow certain 'this place' is 'nicer to live in' than his last one. He's seemed shaken- perpetually so, yet nothing...absolutely nothing has seemed to draw out that same core upset. He's definitely been all over the place with the other 'kid', not to mention getting as much talking with Yen Sid done as possible- if they're stuck here, they're getting clean water going, and who knows how the food has been handled.

He has occasionally paused however, as if burned. Pulled away from chatter, connection, and gone silent. No doubt other members of Staff contributed their own takes- in particular Lady Tremaine can net an impressive rise out of the boy at times before he relents, shuts down, and leaves.

And of course- something that anyone can figure out without rumor, or informant, or recon- he seems to genuinely, actually, think of Doctor Facilier as someone...

...Well. Someone worth talking to apparently.

"Doctor Facilier? ...Can..." He pauses, catching himself with a slight wince before correcting- "....I have some questions."

"Can you have some questions? History has proven you can, boy. Well then you might as well ask them, and we'll see what I feel like answering. I'd warn you that I'm not in a good mood, but none of you've ever seen me in a good mood."

Well now he just winces more. The correction was Not supposed to be part of the aborted statement.

Oh well. "...That's sort of a comfort, knowing that," he admits honestly. After all, that means it'll probably be no 'worse' a conversation than he's had before.

"I wanted to ask...right now, in this place, what do you want most?"

A moment, and he adds- "...other than not being here. ...I think that's pretty much everyone..."

He leaned back in his chair. "An interesting question..." he pulled out his cards and started shuffling them. "You will, of course, tell me why you're asking..."

"It's not for bad, or good reasons," he offers in reply. "...We're already working on water."

So, it's for helping out. Of course it is. That should count as Good, but he's probably figured out a loophole there.

"Working... on water...?" Like what, they were building boats? In what water? Yes, he was openly confused.

"How does the water you normally have here taste?"

Professor Yen Sid - OTA - The Labs

Professor Yen Sid had watched everything calmly, and then nodded once to himself. "There is much to discuss, for those who wish to follow me," he said before returning to his basement labs.

Well, it's ultimately quite a while after the announcement- a talk with Doctor Facilier, and a catch up with Xion, among other things...

But eventually, Emporio is down at the basement labs.

"...Professor..?"

"Come in, com in. It will be easier to talk from inside the room rather than the doorway."

Emporio does that, and quite eagerly. He looks somewhat nervous- but, somewhat thoughtful too. "You said we had much to discuss..? ...I also had something I wanted to ask about, but what was it you were talking about first?"

"I suspect the conversation beginning with we have much to discuss will take quite some time. So perhaps it best I answer your questions first."

"...Fair enough." And probably true. "I was thinking... ...The vines surrounding us end after a certain point right? ...They aren't safe to climb...but what if we sent something like a lantern over the side, with a message attached? If we can't send anything out with radio, then even a randomly dispersed letter is better than nothing."

"Ah. Let me show you something lad," he said fetching some chalk. He turned and drew a rough uneven arc over one part of the board. He then drew an X to one side of the line and another rough arch a ways away so that the X was cupped within one arc and the furthest out part of the arc faced the furthest out part of the other arc.

He tapped the X gently. "This is, in a rough sense where we are at the moment, where Dragon Hall is. This," he tapped the closer arc, "Is the shoreline. The other is Auradon. Between lay vast amounts of storm filled ocean. If you wish to see if there are others trapped on the isle there is some chance that your plan could work. However no balloon would reach Auradon. There are the vines, the vast distances, the storms, the ocean. And there is one further barrier as well. That said, I do approve of the direction of your thoughts, young man. I see much potential in you. I wish I could have rewarded that potential with a more hopeful answer."

Emporio looks carefully. The shoreline, Auradon, and the storm filled ocean.

"A further barrier?" he asks before questioning the rest. He would have asked aloud about the currents of the ocean- how the storms and water would carry anything once it made it over the vines. But if there's a magical barrier, then there's a bit of an issue.

"...It's okay. We're kind of working with fumes, right..? That we can even get cleaner water is impressive enough- though the food situation might be a problem if this goes too much longer huh..."

Open Mingle

The hallway was clear now of the TV cart and the adults. But the basket of mouldering vegetation was left behind. As were the Misery-called, who in theory at least, were students. They were left to talk amongst themselves. Or not. As they so chose.

Xion - OTARe: Open Mingle

She had heard they were supposed to watch something again. She went because she hoped that Axel would be there, that she'd know he was okay. But... nothing about Axel was said. Or Xehanort. She still knew nothing. She still had no way to get to Axel.

The small figure in the black coat slumped and then tried to slip away without being noticed.

Not so fast-

He's spent plenty of time with Conan to try and cement some kind of workable life here, but it's nothing they ever intended to withhold from anyone. To that end-

"Oh- wait..!"

He chases after. "I've been trying to find- I have to tell you something..!"

She almost skidded to a stop when he told her to wait, but then hearing him give chase? Someone running after her? She took off, running. Everything else was lost in her panic to escape. Someone was chasing her and she had no weapon. No magic. So she had to escape.

"What-" Oh come on!!

Yes, unfortunately, he has to run. "We met before didn't we..?!" Well. Briefly. Very briefly. Probably not really anything that could be called a meeting actually, but she seemed nervous!

"We can't be divided like this, there's only so many of us here..!"

Had they? She thought... maybe? Maybe. If she was less panicked, maybe she could think more clearly, but ever since she got here... panic has all that's kept her going.

She skidded to a stop at the thorn wall and memory came back to her, breaking through the panic. She swallowed hard and forced herself to turn, trembling like a leaf.

"Hahhh...hahhh....hahhh..."

Emporio comes to a stop, holding his knees as he catches his breath. "Hfff....thanks..."

Ahem. "I wanted to ask...the other here with us, who wasn't from here, we were working on a place that was safe to hide and rest...you should be able to know where it is."

So, if she wants to know, he's going to tell her.
