You are on the the Isle. Though it is hard to tell it is an Island from the ground level. Because all you can see is the graveyard full of Doom Stones and the large mausoleum that has a crooked sign reading "Dragon Hall". The Doom Stones are all carved with saying such as "IT IS BETTER TO HAVE NEVER LOVED AT ALL THAN TO BE LOVED" and "REVENGE ABOVE ALL". The area around the Doom Stones is littered with... well... litter. Useless trash. Crushed cups, broken lids, rotted fruit leavings so bad even the locals can't eat more off of them, torn bits of paper. The path is about the same, though it has somewhat less in the way of dead and dying weeds and foolhardy grasses.
They sky above isn't much better, the air is redolent with unpleasant scents and heavy with humidity, but if the filth everywhere is any indication, it rarely actually rains. Or at least, not enough to clean anything. Yet storm clouds fill the sky more often than wan weak sunlight.
Going inside helps some with the humidity, but that is about it. The mausoleum is, in actuality, a school. A high school. The floor tiles are cracked and some are missing. It looks as though no one's cleaned it in.... well, maybe ever. Trash is all over the floor, the few trash cans are generally knocked over or empty but surrounded by rubbish. Most of the lockers are broken so that they can't lock, but some of them are oddly bulged, like something had been in the locker, trying to get out. Some of the lockers can still close and lock, and actually have stuff in them. Ripped and torn clothes in Isle Style, damaged text books, pails bags and boxes of rotted lunches.
The classrooms are in as poor repair, though it seems as though they have gotten use. Some of the rooms have old rusted cauldrons attached to the desks. Most of the desks are mismatched and a number are at least partially broken. Nearly all of them have graffiti on them. But then, so do the walls. Inside and out.
The basement holds science labs, one of which is actually clean. The main floor has many classrooms as well as the headmaster's office and the Athenaeum Of Evil. The first is one of the few unmarked doors and will be locked. The second.... well it is also free of graffiti and locked, but in that case it might be harder to tell because the door is heavy steel, and covered over in cobwebs, guarded by a spider the size of a witch's cauldron.
There are stairs up to a second floor, but they're in pretty bad shape. If one braves them and survives, they'll find... more lockers and more classrooms...
The following is a suggested format for posts, but hey, you didn't get here by following the rules, did you?
